Surrender & Be Free!

This topic fell heavily on me while I was just sitting around the house last night. Tonight, I want to talk about surrendering to God.
Now we all have said in our lives "I want to change", but was it just a saying & not a doing?? To surrender is an action. When you totally surrender to the Lord, you are saying God I want to change to please you. In order for you to surrender you have to actually take steps to start that change. Just because you say it doesn't mean it'll just happened. You have to do somethings to better your life. We don't realize how things separate us from. God. Things such as music, friends, & even family can stop us from reaching God.
God wants us to completely surrender to Him so that our lives can be free from drama, pain, hurt, etc. Go ahead & surrender to Him watch how your life changes.
Now you may be saying "Jamilya, how does this work?!" Well, I am so glad you asked. First off, say a prayer. Just say "God, it's me again. I pray that you will come into my life as I surrender to you. God help me to be like you in every way. God, I pray that you will keep my mind stayed on you. I thank you for your acceptance. In Jesus' name, I am yours."
Second, once you have completely surrendered you have to actually keep your promise. Start praying more, start reading the word, and check your surroundings. The people that you hang out will can stop you from
reaching your highest with God. Start to hang out with those who love the Lord. Change your atmosphere & watch how God works things out. Don't be afraid because God will send you new friends to better your life. Also, you be a witness to your unsaved family members, & tell them about your experience with God. Pray that God will use them to do His will.
As for you girl, I just want you to be completely free & saved by the Holy Spirit. If friends turn their backs just pray for them & continue to experience God like never before. You can be free only if you totally surrender to Him. Be free! Be free! Change for the better love. Be free from every generational curse. Be free from brokenness. Be free & surrender to Him. Apply these things to your life. Go ahead & make that easy, but yet challenging choice to follow Jesus. I promise it'll be the best choice you will EVER make. God loves you young queen. He really does. Give your life & ways to Him & see the impossible happen in your life. (:
