Young People God Used In the Bible.

God used young people? Why yes He did! We don't really think about that because we usually hear about the older people that God used, such as Abraham, Moses, etc. Just like He used them, God used Joshua, Josiah, David, Timothy, and for the ladies, Mary. All of these young people were submitted to Christ and willing to let Him have His way. So, because of their obedience to God, He blessed them tremendously! Don't believe me? Well, let me tell you more.
We learn about Joshua in the book of Numbers. Joshua was an aide to Moses at a young age. God had His eye on Joshua. God told Moses one day to lay his hands on Joshua and take him to the priest and have him commissioned in front of the assembly. After Moses died, Joshua became the leader of his people. Although Joshua was young he still stayed faithful to God, and God made him a great and godly leader.
In 2 Chronicles, we learn about another young man by the name of Josiah. Josiah was EIGHT years old when he became king! He ruled for 31 years in Jerusalem! When he was 16, he began to seek God. When he sought God, God watched over him and was pleased. By the time Josiah was 21, he led his nation into a great religious revival. How amazing is that! Wait, keep reading because there's more that I HAVE to tell you!
You've probably heard of David. He was the guy that defeated Goliath with the stone. Yep, he was young. too As a matter of fact, people told him that he couldn't do it because he was young! He obviously proved them wrong as we know and he was victorious! Timothy is another young guy that served God. He had incredible knowledge of the word, but he was shy. Paul told him to do not let anyone look down on him because he was young. He told Timothy to be an example to others (1 Timothy 4:12). Because of Timothy's faithfulness, God was pleased with Him.
Now ladies, this is the moment you have been waiting for! Let me tell you about this young virgin by the name of Mary that God used. Mary was a strong and faithful servant of God at a young age! God was so pleased with her that He chose her to be the mother of our Savior, Jesus Christ! She accepted and told God to have his way in her life! A lot of us young people need to tell God the same!
As you have read, God used several young people in the Bible. If He used them, then what makes you think that He can't use you? God wants the absolute best for you! He wants to bless you tremendously, but in order for Him to do that you have to let Him have His way. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't serve God because you are young! No, don't allow that to happen. Let them know that if He used Joshua, Josiah, David, Timothy, and especially Mary, then He can use you! Live your life for Christ, and watch Him do things for you that you could never imagine! I can tell you that it won't always be easy, but Heaven is definitely worth it. Will you let God use you?
Love you!

Worship Wednesday: It's A Natural Thing.

Worship is not just music, but it's a natural thing. Nobody can teach you how to worship. It just happens. Worship must be sincere. When you lift your hands, you are surrendering to God's way. You are basically telling God that nothing matters but him. No problem, no situation, no attitude, no person, nobody but GOD! Worship shows God that we honor Him & that He is the most important thing in our lives.

When we worship, things are released. When we worship, things change. When we worship, God takes complete control. I realize that there are a lot of young people that don't like to worship. When the pastor says "lift your hands", many barely do. Why is that? Why are we, as young people, afraid or embarrassed to worship God? Why can't we worship the maker and ruler of the earth? Why? If you are still alive, then you have every reason to honor and worship the King. Don't be ashamed to worship the Lord. If people think you are weird or not cool, so what! God will be pleased with your worship & He will smile on you.

So, I challenge you to worship no matter what your peers are doing. Let everything go & focus on God & God alone. Live out worship by being obedient to God. Give yourself completely to God by throwing up your hands & saying "here I am, God". When you have a big test coming up, don't stress, just worship. Worship everytime life seems to be going out of control and when things are great. Start to worship & watch how God transforms your life.
Love you!

Truthful Tuesday: It Don't Matter If I'm YOUNG!

"You have to be old to live for Christ."

WRONGGGG!!! That is the biggest myth ever, my friend! Why is it that many people feel that you must be older to serve God? I mean the Bible tells us in 1 Timothy 4:12 that you can serve God as a young person. If God used David at a young age, what makes you think that He can't use you?

Let me tell you, age means absolutely nothing to God. Whether you're 2, 5, 25, 15, 18, etc., He still can use you to be a light in the world. I've always loved to go to church & loved Christ, but I really came to Christ when I was about 13. That was the time when I really changed my ways, so that I could be more Christ-like.

See, just because you're young doesn't mean that you have to go parties, clubs, or listen to the hottest rap song. Naw, you were bought into this world to STAND out! I'm telling you, the best decision I could ever make as a young person was to serve Christ & to live for Him. Don't get me wrong, it's not easy, but it is definitely worth it! A lot of young people say that you can't have any fun if you're saved, but what's so fun about doing things that will risk your chance of getting into Heaven?

Don't be afraid to serve & live for God as a young person. I tell you God will honor your obedience & He will bless you tremendously. When your peers are stressing & their lives are full of chaos, God will give you peace and strength. So, live for God as a young person. Be a light in this dark world. Be on fire for Him & watch Him change your life for the better. You never know when your time will come, so get you life right NOW so that Heaven will be your home in eternity.

"It Doesn't Matter If I'm Young" Week!

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. (1 Timothy 4:12)

Hi everyone!! This week is going to be based off of 1 Timothy 4:12. This scripture is my Verse of the Week & I really feel that a lot of young people need to know this. Many people have the mindset that you have to be old to serve & live for God. I'm here to tell you that that is WRONG!! This scripture tells us that it is wrong. God can use anyone no matter what age they are! So, this week we are going to focus on that scripture & hopefully by the end of this week someone will be a young person unashamed of living for Christ!
Love you!!
