No Need to be Searchin'

"I'm done looking for my future someone. Cause when the time is right you'll be here..."

I have heard Dear No One by Tori Kelly a thousand times before, but for some particular reason, the song really hit me this day. At the end she said, "No need to be searchin'".

No need to be searchin'.

That one line pierced my heart. In that moment, I told God that I wouldn’t search for my future husband, but that I would trust the process. I haven't always trusted the process. There's been times where I've been lonely. Times where its like, "Okay God, why isn't any guy approaching me yet", and instead of waiting on Him, I took matters in my own hands. The enemy really had me believing that there was something wrong with me and waiting was just not worth it anymore! By not waiting, I faced a lot of hurt & pain that could have easily been avoided.

We have to be careful. Just because you're single does not mean there is something wrong with you. It simply means that God is saving you for His best & His best is worth waiting for! We have to know who we are & whose we are. Never settle or compromise because it seems like everyone around you is in a "happy" relationship. Never settle or compromise because you feel the urge to have sex. The enemy will dress up things & have you thinking that it's from God.

Newsflash: if it's not bringing you closer to God, it's not from Him!

The Bible says in Proverbs 18:22, "He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord". He who finds a wife. HE who finds a wife. Why are we searching in the first place, when the Word of God specifically tells us that it is not our place as women to search for our future spouse? What you looking for?! A lot of times we're so busy searching that we aren't preparing ourselves to be found. We're jumping from guy to guy hoping to find happiness, but end up finding bitterness and pain.

We have to be patient & allow God to be enough for us. The Lord is showing me that He knows exactly what I need, & in this season, He's just that. Ladies, we don't need a man, we need deeper fellowship with Christ. We don't need to be worried about if a guy loves us or not, we need to know & rely on the love of Christ.

One of my favorite scriptures from the Apostle Paul says, "An unmarried woman is concerned about the Lord's affairs: her aim is to be devoted to God in both body and spirit" (1 Corinthians 7:34).

Heart check: As single Christian women, are we concerned about the Lord's affairs, or are we just seeking after God to be married?

Are we really devoted to God, or are we more caught up in the idea of being married? I challenge us to stop worrying about when our husband is coming & really be concerned about the Lord's affairs. I believe that God desires to do amazing things for so many of us, but we can't see it because we're too busy searching for "Boaz". We have to diligently search for God the way we are searching for our future husband. Seek ye first the kingdom of God! If it is in God's will, your husband will come when the time is right, but for now, be devoted to the one who loves you the most.

So, I encourage us to stop focusing & searching for our future spouses. May we be embrace our singleness & use this time to glorify God. May be trust that He knows what's best for us & His ways are better than ours.

Grace & Peace,

The Struggle with Sexual Immorality.

Sexual Immorality
It's something that many of us battle with on a day to day basis, but we rarely talk about it. Many of us are ashamed of what goes on in our minds or what we do when no one is around. We feel guilty and convicted when we watch pornography or when we are lusting after some one we just met. Some of us can even feel God watching, but the sin has such a grip on us that we don't know how to stop.

We lack self control.

You desire to be free, but the enemy keeps convincing you that this is something that won't change. With tears streaming down your face you sing "Withholding Nothing" in church, but once the doors close, you still struggle. I know exactly how you feel, & I would like to share with you some things that has helped me overcome this very struggle.

1. Have Accountability
The enemy's desire is to make you feel embarrassed about your struggle, so you'll keep it to yourself. I know that from personal experience, but what I also know is that having someone who can hold you accountable helps. You shouldn't just talk to some random person about this. Pray & ask God to show you who to talk to. This person could be your youth pastor(s), a minister in your church, a friend who has a relationship with Christ, or a mentor. This person should check on you periodically, or that can monitor your phone/computer activity, and push you closer to Christ.

2. Daily Heart Checks
The Bible says in Proverbs 4:23, "Guard your heart in all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life". You have to guard your heart. You do this by monitoring what you watch, what you listen to and say. You can't expect to be freed from sexual immorality if you keep watching movies that are filled with sex. It doesn't work that way! You have to be careful in what you allow in your heart. Replace those movies with the Word of God. When you feel the urge to go back to your old habit(s), pray & start reading the Bible. This leads to my next point...

3. Stay in the Presence of God
Stay at His feet! Everything that you need is in Jesus. Make spending time alone time with God a priority. Pray, fast & read the Bible. Don't stop pursing God because in His presence is freedom! During this time, pray & ask God to cleanse your heart and to fill you with His Holy Spirit. David cried in Psalm 51:10, "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me". He prayed this to the Lord right after he had sexual relations with another man's wife. Even David, the man after God's own heart, struggled with sexual immorality! In his story we learn that he constantly sought God because he realized that he lacked self control.

God has so much more for you & He desires for you to walk to total freedom. Have faith & activate it by believing that you are free in Jesus name! Cling to the Lord & allow Holy Spirit to reside in your heart. Now, this might not be an overnight process & some days you will feel like giving up, but don't! Stay in the fight & know that it gets better. The more I keep my eyes on Jesus, the more that my desires become His. As long as I am seeking Him, I am able to say no to the enemy & walk right. You are not alone & this isn't something that you will have to deal with forever. God sees your heart & will help you. Be willing.

"The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure." (1 Corinthians 10:13)

I've Fallen...Now What?

It is often believed that once you're saved, you're free from temptation. That has to be the biggest misconception ever. When you surrender your life to Christ, things will not be all sun-shines & rainbows. Satan is going to try to do whatever he can to get you back on his team.

So, what happens when you've been living for Christ strong, and then all of a sudden your weakness is thrown at you? You know that one ex-boyfriend that used to push you closer to sin is now blowing up your phone. Or, that one friend that you used to smoke and party with is now all of a sudden wanting to hang out again. You give in to that temptation & you do what you once told God that you would never do again. Now, you're feeling convicted. You're broken & the enemy is telling you that there's no way that God will forgive you now!

Let me just remind you that the devil is a liar!
One of the greatest examples of forgiveness after a fall is David. David was highly favored in the Lord's eyes. He was called a man after God's own heart. One day, he slipped up & had relations with another man's wife. She then became pregnant. Once he found this out, he secretly plotted to have her husband killed! Crazy right?!? The Bible tells us in 2 Samuel 11:27 that God was not pleased with David at all, but was willing to give him another chance.

David confessed his sins after being rebuked by a friend. Soon after, God forgave David, but he had to face some consequences. God could've killed David, but instead He offered David His grace

"Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me." (Psalm 51:10)

David was a man after God's heart, but he was a man. In his pursuit of God, he made a detour because of his flesh. You may be like David. You want God & you desire to follow Him, but you have made a detour. You've made a mistake & now you're facing the consequences. There is hope for you. Know that God understands that we are nothing but mere mortals. He knew that we were going to make mistakes, but He still wanted to be in an intimate relationship with us. So much that He allowed His only son to be killed so that we could be reconciled with Him.

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)

Like David did in Psalm 51, find a place & cry out to God for change. He is waiting for you with open arms! God wants to be close to you no matter the amount of sin you have committed. He just wants you to be willing to change your mind & repent. Don't believe all of those stupid lies that the enemy whispers in your ears. You are still loved by God! God still desires to be close to you! You can start over & receive grace!

God doesn't want you to just sit in your guilt. He wants you to reconnect with Him. Listen, there were many times when I lost my way & felt that God didn't want anything to do with me. I kept going to church & I kept reading His word. Through that, I was reassured that He still loved me! I cried out to Him & made a choice to never go back. Those things & people that I once loved was not worth missing Jesus. Just like He forgave me, He wants to do the same for you. There's no pit too deep for Him. If you call out with a sincere heart, He will pull you up, dust you off & give you a new name. God is waiting to hear your cry. Will you receive your forgiveness today?

"The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9)

Private Moments.

Late nights. A time when everyone is sleep, except for me. Tucked away in my room, I was having a private moment with him. You might have heard people call it "caking", but for me, it was more than that. These were the times when I felt as if it was just us. In these moments, he would tell me how beautiful I was. We would exchange sweet words like "I miss you", or "I love you". It was those words that hooked me & reeled me in. Every word sparked a feeling in me that I could not control. It was almost like I could feel him, but he was never physically next to me...

The fire moved & so did hands. Masturbation & lust. Before I knew it, I was trapped in this world of sin & the only way out was *click*...the phone died every single time. With each dying of the phone, a little part of me died also. When I would return back to my senses I would immediately feel dirty & far away from God, but I wasn't doing anything to change it. It occurred so often that I was starting to get comfortable with these private moments.

But He wasn't comfortable.

He loved me enough to snatch me out & make those private moments not so private. I was looking for a love that would complete me, but I ran into lust on my journey. Too blinded by what society said was love, I tried to get back to him, but He wouldn't let me. He pulled me back every time & said "no" because He had something greater.

His deep love caused me to exchange my private moments with him for private moments with Him.
That Him that I'm talking about is Jesus Christ. With Him, I enter this peaceful place that is lasting. In these moments, He heals me & gives me the courage to share things like this with you. Never do I have to doubt His words. His words never leave me empty, but they make me whole. He sustains me. He restores me. He completes me, not him.

I'm not being vulnerable because I want my business out on center stage, but because I know that God can change your life too. His grace is enough to sustain you & heal you from your bad habits. Your habit may be different from mine, but I know that there is nothing that God can't do. He can save you if you just repent of your sins. He ready to change you. He longs for those private moments with you. He desires for you to know Him better. He's ready to show you true love. Are you ready to exchange?

Beautiful in its Time.

"He has made everything beautiful in its time…" (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

Patience is a virtue that is hard to follow, especially if you have it set in your heart that you want something & you want it now. It's like with those things God makes us wait the longest. Not because He's mean & He wants us to suffer, but because He's loving & He only wants what's best for us. I'm gonna be completely honest, since my post, Patiently Waiting, my patience has been tested like never before.

The desire to be in a relationship fell over me HARD. It wasn't such a strong desire that I jumped in one, but it was strong enough for my liking. I found myself just looking at guys & couldn't help but wonder if he would be the one. Ridiculous, right? Yes, very ridiculous. I would see couples hugging or friends becoming more than friends & I would find myself wondering "when will that be me?" It's like I forgot what I promised God! I forgot what I promised myself. I began to lose my patience slowly.

One morning, I was lead to read one chapter of the book Ecclesiastes a day. On day three, I read chapter 3 which is entitled in my study Bible "A Time for Everything". I read it, but didn't understand that it was a sign from God. The particular verse that stuck out to me was verse eleven (above). I remember the first day after reading it I was wondered, "why isn't he coming yet?" & God reminded me of those 8 words.

God places everything where it needs to be at the right time.

When it says "He has made everything beautiful in its time", it's true. When we force ourselves into something that isn't the will God, things are chaotic. Ever realize that? For instance, you want to have good friends. So you pray and pray, but still no friends. It gets to the point where you start looking because "God is taking too long". Because you put matters in your own hands, you find yourself in a group that pushes you further away from God. Now you find yourself doing things you never thought you would do! Your life becomes a mess because you couldn't wait

Or, how about that time when you wanted to be in a relationship. You prayed, but God was not sending that guy to you, so you took matters in your own hands. So, now you're lurking & you find this guy. He seems to be everything that you've prayed for & you feel like he's Heaven sent. Little do you know, that he has another girl on the side & he's using you to get what he knows he can't get from her. You find out & now you're hurt & bitter. All because you lost your patience.

God knows everything about us. He knows what's best for us more than we know. He has a great plan for our lives, and sometimes what we want is not in His plan. We as His children have to realize that Daddy knows best. Some things God will give us right away, some He won't give us at all, and some that He will make us wait for. If God doesn't give you what you want, count that as a blessing because He probably saved you from hurting you. Yes we're young & used to instant things, but trust me, God's best is worth waiting for.
So, how do you get to the point where you trust God's timing? I'm glad you asked!

  1. Pray & Read God's Word.
    1. Praying and reading God's word will help you understand that God is God. It will help you trust in Him more once you know more about Him.
  2. Occupy Your Mind.
    1. If you sit and think about that thing so much & how you can't wait until it happens, the desire you have is going to grow. Think about things that are going to help you better your life.

With a lot of prayer, I was able to get back into the swing of things. I know that God will honor my obedience to Him, & I know He'll do the same for you. If you desire something, pray & leave it in the hands of the Father, and do His work. Waiting for God isn't a time for you to be idle, but it's time for you to allow God to prepare you for what's ahead.
Love you

Attached.

One night while on the elevator, I saw this couple. The girl stayed underneath her guy the whole time. Wherever he moved, she followed. Her eyes told a story as she gazed at him. She trusted him. She loved him. He was her everything. As the elevator stopped, they got off and she trailed after him. Once the doors closed, all I could was pray for her. The word "attached" began to flood my mind.

I recognized the story her actions told because it was once mine. At 16, I was in a relationship. You've probably heard about this, but I adored this guy. I craved his very existence. I wanted to be everywhere he went. I trusted every word he said. I didn't believe that I was beautiful unless he said it. I found my worth in him and not in Christ.

That is a dangerous place to be.

I was 16. Attached to this guy who wasn't guaranteed to be in my future. The very thought of not having him around crushed me. When God took him out of my life, that's what I was, crushed. I was miserable because all that I knew was in him. So when he was gone, so was I. Some of you girls maybe in the same situation or you're headed down that road. Let me tell you, when your boyfriend becomes your everything & God is placed on the back burner, don't expect that relationship to last too long. God is a jealous God. You were created to live & worship Him, not any other idol
When you're dating at any age, you must be very careful. I know that you want to be loved. I know you want to feel special to someone. I totally get that, but understand that the only person that will truly love you regardless of what you do & who you are is God (Romans 5:8). As young ladies, we can focus so much on having a "man" that we forget about what's really important in life, such as God & our future. It's okay to be single! Your self worth is not found in a guy, but in Christ! Learn how to seek Him & wait for Him. He knows exactly what you need! He won't hurt you nor leave you.

Right now, God desires for you to be close to Him. He wants you to focus on Him & His will for your life. What about your desire to be complete? Don't worry, Christ's love with make you complete (Ephesians 3:19). There's no love that a human being can give you that is greater than the love Christ can give you.

So, if you find yourself in a relationship where you:
1. Constantly need to talk to your boyfriend
2. Play the role of a wife when you're just a friend
3. Feel incomplete without him
4. Compromise your faith & morals
I think it's time to make a change before God does it for you. Your worth is found in the one who made you, not another human being. I'm not telling you this because I don't want you to be happy. I'm telling you this because I want you to realize that you'll never be satisfied until you place your hands in the hands of Jesus & become attached.

Not Just a Ring.

"Baby, you need to put that ring on the other hand."
"Are you engaged?"

So many comments. So many stares. So many questions about the ring. I'm not engaged or married, but I'm committed.
I've always dreamed about one day having a ring. One that sparkled, but yet represented something worth more than diamonds. At the age of 16, I received a ring after a series of the most impure moments of my life; a purity ring. Young & naive, I allowed myself to get into things that were not for me. I did silly things out of "love", but God's grace kept me.

This isn't just a ring to me, but it represents special promises. Promises that I was dedicated to keep. A promise to honor God with my body. A promise to never become one with just anyone. A promise to have respect for the body that He gave me. Three years later, I still remain faithful to those promises. It isn't an easy journey being young, but I am convinced that it will all be worth it.

This world is so centered around of sex. Songs are all about sex. T.V. shows are full of promiscuous stories. Sex is e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e, especially in the college scene, but I refuse to give in. Temptation is all around, but I remember that my relationship with the Savior is more important than any thing on this earth.

If you're still a virgin, keep it up. Don't allow a few sweet, temporary words take your forever! If you're celibate, continue to honor God first! If you're currently engaged in sex, please understand that your body is beautiful & sacred! You are God's treasure, not just any person is worth having a piece. Your worth is priceless.

From my heart to yours.

Hello, beautiful!
Yes, you.
Today, I just want you to know that God loves you.
In His eyes, you are a gem
He formed you in your mother's womb, and from that moment, you were special.
Know that you are here for a reason.
You are not a mistake!
God's plan for your life is so great.
He has everything worked out for your good.
Life can get hard, and sometimes the peer pressure is heavy.
Just know this...
You don't have to be like everyone else.
You were not made to be like everyone else.
There's a reason why God gave your own special, unique genes.
Don't allow anyone to tell you that you aren't beautiful.
Don't allow anyone to call you out of your name.
You are not a "bad chick".
You are not a female dog.
You are not a whore.
You are a Daughter of the King!
Your value is worth more than rubies.
Don't settle or tolerate just anything or anyone.
You deserve nothing but God's best.
Know that you are beautiful just the way you are.
Your body is beautiful and sacred.
Not every guy deserves the key to your treasure.
You are worth waiting for.
You are beautiful.
You are brilliant.
Christ adores you.
Embrace you for you

Patiently Waiting♥

I've never been the girl that always felt the need to have a boyfriend. I've only had one real boyfriend & I fell deep for Him. After God ended the relationship, it took me a while, like 2 years, to realize that he wasn't God's best for me. I've been single for a some years now & people are always like "when are you going to find you a boyfriend?" Honestly, the pressure used to be so high that I would find myself crushing on guys for like no reason. I would just say I had a crush on a guy just so that I could make people relax.
Now, I am totally over that. A lot of girls say that they can't wait to have a boyfriend. They can't wait to have a guy that loves her for who she is. They can't wait for that guy that won't cheat & hurt her. Honestly, I've found that guy & His love saved my life, literally. Yes, I'm talking about Jesus. When I tell people this, some laugh & I don't understand why they laugh. I don't say that Jesus is all the man I need because I can't get a boyfriend, or because I'm like totally against being in a relationship, but I say it because He really truly is! I am young & He is the one that I should be focused on until He feels that the time is right.

"An unmarried woman or virgin is concerned about the Lord’s affairs: Her aim is to be devoted to the Lord in both body and spirit." (1 Corinthians 7:34)

I've come to the point where I realize that God has an amazing guy out there for me & I'm willing to wait for him. I know that He's not coming now because God wants to work on me first. I'm not ready for a relationship & to be honest, tons of girls aren't either. So many of our girls are doing so poorly in school & suffering with low self esteem because they've been in these "relationships" that do nothing but leave them empty. I don't want that for myself & I don't want that for you!
I told God that I would wait for the man that He has for me. I told God that I would save my body for my husband. I told God that I wouldn't settle for just anything anymore. I told God that I will patiently wait for the man of my dreams.
If you find yourself wanting to be loved, just think about how Jesus died on the cross for you. The next time you think about wanting to be in a relationship, just think about how God desires you to be in a relationship with Him. You are God's princess & you deserve far more that what any boy can give you right now. If the guy doesn't push you closer to God, than He doesn't need your heart. All God wants for you is the best!
I'm determined to wait for God's best. I don't want to get tied up with no one else while I wait. Right now, God is my focus. His love consumes me so much that the thought of being with a guy right now is pointless. I will wait until I get to hold someone's hand. I will wait for that one that will hold me while I cry. I will wait for that one that will love me regardless of how I look & how I act. I will wait for that one that will pull me closer to God. I will wait for that one that was predestined for me. If its two, five, seven or even ten years from now, I will patiently wait for him.

But I Want Love NOW!

Log on to Instagram & what do you see? A picture of a cute little couple holding hands or cuddling. You say "aww!", but deep down you're jealous & you think to yourself "when will that be me?" It seems like everywhere you go, somebody's in love! Get on Facebook & girls make mushy statuses about how wonderful their boyfriend is or how in love they are & you can't help but say "I want that". Your emotions get so high that they convince you to settle for something that is not what you deserve.
I've been there. Me?! Yes, me! I'd never had a boyfriend & I wanted to know what it was like to be in love. There was this guy from my church & I had a major crush on dude. We started talking & then we started dating. A few months later this guy was my e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g!!! I was in love at 16! He loved me, called me beautiful, wasn't ashamed to call me his, and he was always there when I needed him.We had that cute relationship that I'd always wanted! Sounds good right? Well, that's how it started, but then we started doing things we had no business doing. The relationship started going down hill, but we still put up a front like everything was okay. Long story short, we're not together anymore because God was jealous. He wanted me to focus my attention my Him & not that guy.
Girls, you have to be careful of what you ask for. Just because people make relationships so pretty & cute on social networks does not mean its like that in reality. Plus, what's right for them is not what's best for you! Don't get so caught up in trying to be in a relationship that you stop chasing after your dreams & God! You have a whole life ahead of you, so don't waste your time trying to be a relationship that's not going to last for 3 months! You're better than that! You deserve more than that! You deserve to be treated like a queen & truly loved!
God has this man, not boy, out there that He is shaping just for you! A man that's going to love you & only you. A man that's going to love God more than he loves you. A man that will truly accept you for all of your flaws. A man that will tell you you're beautiful on your worse day & mean it! A man that will support you no matter what. A man that will hold you & wipe your tears when everything is going tough. A man, not a boy! All that you have to do in order to get this is to sit back, focus on God & work on you! Take some time out to learn about God & enjoy loving Him & yourself before you try to love someone else! You think that emptiness that you're feeling is going to be fixed by infatuation from a boy? No, you need that real love, which comes from God.
I can tell you that I am so much happier & better off being single & focusing on God. I have been able to accomplish so much that I wouldn't have if I was still in that relationship. I want the same for you! I want you to be truly happy because you're focusing on God & loving you & not some guy! I want you to realize that you are special & you deserve the absolute best. So, are you willing to wait on God for that man or would you rather have false love from many different boys. Remember, Jesus didn't die on the cross when He was a boy, He was a man. That's true love.

Something I Had to Say......

She feels heavy pressure every time she looks in the mirror. She feels that she's not pretty enough, so she puts on more make-up than she does clothes. She feels that she's "fat", so she goes on the diet which requires no eating. She wants to be in love like everyone else around her, so she hooks up with just any guy. She gives him sex & h*** because that's what the kids do when they're in love, right? Now, she has all the bragging rights & can tell all of her "friends" what she has done, but when she gets home its a different story.
No one knows how broken she is inside. Nobody knows how bad she is hurting because that same guy she just had sex with is cheating on her with another girl. No one knows that she is suicidal because every time she gets on Instagram or Facebook, some idiot calls her ugly & a slut. What are we doing? WHAT ARE WE DOING!?
Girls are on their last string trying to fit in & nobody is reaching out to say positive things or expose us to more positive things! All people do is judge, judge, JUDGE to the point that no girl wants to speak up! I remember when that was me, doing things with my "boyfriend"  because I wanted to be just like everyone else. I was hurting! Hurting so much to the point where I wanted out because I felt like God didn't love me & if I told my parents, they would judge me & be disappointed in me....I wanted to die....
I write all this to let you girls know that you are beautiful no matter what "they" say! & who are "they" to tell you who you are when they didn't make you! God created you in His very own image, so BAM! It's time out for all of this trying to fit in stuff and you know you're not satisfied! The only way you're gonna find real love & be content with yourself is when you find out who you are in GOD!! He's the only way you're gonna make it through this life. You are beautiful. You are smart. You are intelligent. You are special because there is only ONE you in this world. You don't have to idolize Beyonce or Rihanna because that's not who you are!!! Be yourself & seek God for confidence! You're not a bad b****, you're a child of GOD!! God hears your cry & He wants to help you, so allow Him! Hear me out...

I may be young, but God is using me to help you. I'm here for prayers and if you need someone to talk to.

You're Worth More Than That.

We live in a society where it seems like being in a relationship has to be our top priority. Everyone wants to find that "special someone", and sometimes we find someone & are convinced that he is our "special someone". We'll do anything to make it work just so we can say that we have someone. Sometimes we allow this person to walk all over us & do whatever, but because we want to be loved soooo bad we keep holding on.
You see I've been there. Yes, me. There's this guy & while we were dating about 2 years ago a lot of people were like "he's the one." "you two are so cute together." You know how they do. So, I was convinced that I was supposed to be with this guy for the rest of my live. Because I "loved" him, I was determined to be there for him even after God split us apart. For some reason things just would not work between us. Even though I knew in my mind that we would never be back together, I could not seem to let him go. Just the thought of letting someone go that I "loved" was just terrible. I couldn't get him out of my system.
Until one day, God started dealing with me about fear. God told me that one of my greatest fears was losing him, but it's now time to let him go. It was either him or Jesus. Of course, I chose Jesus & I must tell you that I feel good! I thought of ways to explain this to him, but Jesus just told me to follow Him & that's what I'm doing. I said all of that because God was helping me realize that just because it was doesn't mean that it has to be now.
As God's daughters we deserve nothing but the absolute best! We are His princesses & we deserve someone who is going to love God more than us! A lot of girls run from guy to guy, or complain about how they need & want a boyfriend at such a young age. I'm telling you as a sister that YOU'RE WORTH MORE THAN THAT! You don't have to settle for nothing, but what God has for you! You want that love, love Jesus. You want a best friend, let Jesus be your best friend. There is nothing that anyone can give you that can compare to what God can give you. Do yourself a favor & stop hurting yourself by settling for less. Give God your heart & when He feels the time is right that "special someone" will come.
Don't be fearful to give up that person. Don't worry if everyone is in a relationship because you have no idea what they are going through with that person. You deserve the best, so no longer settle for less. Love you.

Can I Be a Christian & Date?

As a human being it is quite natural to be attracted to another person. I know that there is this boy that you can't keep your eye off of at school or church! lol You really like him, but you can't help but wonder what people will think if you, a Christian girl, starts dating a guy. To me, I think that dating as a teenage Christian chick is absolutely fine as long as God is pleased with the relationship. "Well what do you mean Jamilya?" I'm sooo glad you asked! God is pleased when you do things that are of Him & not of this world. If you are in a relationship with a guy and you're having sex or you're disobeying your parents, God is not going to be pleased. It is important that if you have a relationship God is a main factor. Your boyfriend should know that you are a true believer in the Father & he should definitely accept that. If he doesn't than he's no good for you.
God created the woman for the man so go ahead & date! Just remember that God should always be pleased with your relationship & your parents should be also.
What do YOU think about dating & being a Christian??? Let me know! (:
